hello...anyone there?

Hello.  My name is Chris and I used to blog a lot, but then life got really crazy...and it's been a few weeks.

This post is mostly for those who noticed my absence and checked up on me (thank you!).

Four

Dolly celebrated her fourth birthday yesterday. She is such a joy to our family.

We had promised her that we'd celebrate her birthday in the new house...and we made it happen!

And wiser too?

So last week, Mr. Pickup and I had our birthdays.  It was a crazy week, and so very low-key.

Not to say nothing happened...I went on a lunch date with Mr. Pickup on his birthday, and we went to see the Avengers movie on my birthday.  :)  However, on Sunday I decided we still needed to have a belated birthday cake.

Nine.

My oldest daughter is nine today.

Birthday Week

The end of January and first week of February is a busy time in our family with four birthdays coming in rapid succession.  This year was especially exciting because it involved "6".  My youngest son turned 6, and my parents turned 60.  Little boy was also born on my grandpa's birthday...so there was a lot to celebrate!
