So, I'm sure most of you know of Dana. She is amazing. I love her style. She is gracious in sharing blog tips, and just LOOK at those beautiful photos. Her blog is chock-full of eye candy and inspiration. I'm so thrilled at all of her recent success. Her Celebrate the Boy month with Rae has been so fun. In light of all the boyish fun, I thought I better show these cute knees.
A while back, Little Boy put yet more holes in the knees of his jeans. I used her tutorial on knee pads as a guide, and here is the result. I actually used scraps of cotton batting on these knees, and a neutral cotton fabric. They have been through the wash a bunch of times, and I love how they just keep going. Plus, this young man has taken to running and skidding down the hall on his knees. These are perfect!
He got a little shy about me taking pictures. I put him on the counter so he could help with our baking, and remembered I hadn't showed off how the pants turned out...and the result is this post. Hope you're enjoying your week.

Great idea - I am always complaining about patching my boys' jeans, but this way would make it something I look forward to!
Hey, I gave you this award cause you're so cool:

very cool on jeans like that. Great idea Chris!
I like this idea a lot, and I've got plenty of hole-in-the-knee pants, just waiting for a project like this!
