Glorious Clouds

The other night out at our homestead I happened outside and saw a glorious sight.

I don't think I'd ever seen clouds in this type of formation.  I ran back in the house to grab my camera and document such a pretty display.
My kids thought the largest cloud you see looked like the Axiom on the movie Wall-E.

I thought it was interesting how the clouds seemed to swirl around central points.

Here's a close up of the "Axiom".

Looking a little further east and south.

Capturing these pretty images was a great break from the never-ending list of things to get done as we near the finish of our home.  I think sometimes we all need to take even a small break, breathe some fresh air, and say a little prayer of thanks for the blessing it is to be alive to see such things.

Have you seen something outside lately that takes makes your heart sing?

Yesterday before we left for California, Kira and I walked the dogs. It had rained the night before and everything was rimmed with droplets of water. Kira and I both observed how beautiful it was. It is neat when your kids observe beauty and share tehir observations with you.

And taking breaks to appreciate things around us helps with that never-ending punch list as you near completion of your new home!!!

Stunningly beautiful vistas. Beautiful enough to paint or...just to look at and admire and take in the abundant beauty that is Nature. The word you used - glorious - describes these photos perfectly. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos with us, of a beautiful part of this amazing world we live in. I've just 'found' your blog, and am truly enjoying all the great stuff I've read.

What a beautiful view you guys have! I agree with your kids that that looks like the ship from Wall-E. :)

I live in TX and my husband said he has seen clouds like this before. They are beautiful, I do not understand how a person can look at something like that and not believe in God.

Those clouds are gorgeous! They remind me of buttercream frosting on a cupcake...but upside down.

Never, ever do we get clouds like that in San Diego! Those are amazing. Taking the time to stop and smell the roses as they say is what we all need!
