Hooray for teachers.

The school year is done, just as work on our house accelerates to the finish.  Not much of a vacation for the kiddos, but I don't feel too bad...they were able to go to Disneyland!  I did want to do a little something special for their teachers to express my gratitude for a great school year.

I'm so thankful for free printables and great tutorials...they made whipping these gifts up much simpler.
1.  Darling thank you note printables from How Does She.  My older kids each wrote a thank you note to their teachers.  I wrote notes for the kindergartner.

2.  For the ladies, a little zippered clutch, based on Anna's Tutorial.  I just skipped the gathered front piece, and added a little quilted detail.  Saved me time and fabric for the project.  Everything came from my stash.  :)

I even put a little pocket inside.

3.  A fun clipboard, printable courtesy of eighteen25.  My oldest son had a male teacher this year, who was so great for him.  I figured a clipboard would be more appropriate than a feminine clutch.  (I also made some last year for my children's teachers in Boise.)

What types of things have you done for end of school thank you gifts?

You are amazing to manage all that despite working on the house too.

I can't believe how early you guys are done school. Up here we still have a whole month left...

I'm going to have to start The Boy thinking about what to give his teacher. I think those little clutches are perfect and I'm really impressed with your un-gathered take on them.

The clutch is perfect, I have had it on my wish list forever. Last year I used Velcro cause I'm a chicken and haven't tried a zipper but if I start now, I can prolly get it done without the pressure, that seems to be best for procrastinator me.

Great teacher gifts, Chris. So sweet of you to make the time to put these gifts together with everything you have going on right now. I'm sure the teachers loved the clutches. Great colors!
