Step one. Gather your materials. You'll need:
Step two. Make the witch's face. Cut out the egg carton so you have four cups with a spine in the middle for a nose. Glue one red hot candy into two of the cups to create eyes. Glue a few strands of twine to make some straggly locks of hair onto the sides of the egg carton.
Repeat with orange paper for the arms and legs, green paper for the hands.
Step five. Glue the hands to the arms, and the legs to the boots. Glue the arms and legs/boots to the underside of the witch's dress. She should look something like this:
To facilitate a happy crafting experience with preschoolers, I suggest having all the parts pre-cut before you invite your child to work with you. Let them apply glue and assemble the witch. If you want things to go really fast, you could use hot glue to assemble your witch. Please only use low-temp glue with small kids.
My little ones loved making these with me last year. I hope it's a fun activity to share with your family.
