Wee Wonderfuls Mermaiden Dolly

I found Wee Wonderfuls at our library, and was excited to see what fun dollies Hilary Lang had devised for her book.  I've read her blog frequently, and was happy to see her success blossom into a book.

With moving impending, a small project was in order.  I decided to try her Mermaiden.
This little doll is a fun combination of machine and hand sewing.  She was a great use for some of my many scrap fabrics.  Hilary recommends using corduroy or velvet for the hair.  I found a fun piece of green corduroy, and added orange stitching as designed.  Other fun details included:

Isn't she fun?  I am sorely tempted to keep her, then send her onto her final home.

Have you sampled Wee Wonderfuls?

She turned out lovely , you are very brave to embark on a new project with everything that is going on in your household, but sometimes stitching brings sanity. I love her cord locks so much!!
