Pioneer Skirt
Here is the first part of Daughter #1's Halloween costume. She wants to be Kirsten from the American Girls Books. I found this fabric in the remnant bin at WalMart. It was about 1 yard of double width tan cotton fabric, like what they use to back quilts. I used the full width, and just had to hem the bottom and make a casing with elastic at the top. She's thrilled. She loves to pretend she is Kirsten, and usually pulls out her nice dresses to do so. Now, she can run around outside in her costume, and I am not worried about stains on her dress.

How sweet of you to stop by. Kind words are always welcome.
